About the Author
A former English professor and Shakespearean scholar, Michael McIntosh was also widely known as one of the best-known gun and sporting writers in the world. Still reading book but, so far, very pleased with the way the book is written and the material. I knew very little about Mr. Fox except for the fact he made legendary American shotguns. Did not know the Fox car was associated with him. Would recommend for these and many other reasons. Enjoy it as it should be.
A great history of both the man and his rifles. Anyone who s fortunate enough to own a Fox shotgun would enjoy this book. Those considering the purchase of an expensive Fox should consult A. H. Fox to verify model, originality and rarity. I wish My copy was a hard cover as I keep my books forever.
The definitive book on Fox shotguns, but this version looks and feels like something out of my home printer. Checked the title page to make sure it wasn't Kinkos. Nope, actually is Derrydale Press but in name only as whoever bought them out sure dropped the ball on reprinting.
Great historical book on the Fox gun and it's maker.
