An excellent collection for one of my favorite characters. I highly recommend picking up this book if you're a Tank Girl fan. Hell, even if you're not. Book one and two are perfect introductions to Tank Girl, a crazy powerful depiction of one of the strongest women in comic books, period.Also, my item arrived quickly, packaged perfectly, and came at an excellent price.

Not nearly as enjoyable as Tank Girl One and full of typos. Not sure why the authors wrote about themselves instead of Tank Girl...

A great film to book adaptation of Tank Girl! Classic

tank girl is the chronicles of a post apocalyptic beer-swilling punk-chic tank commander and the crew of misfits shes friends with. the motley crew includes, jet girl and sub girl, booga (tank girl's mutant kangaroo boyfriend), and stevie the surfer aborigonee. the art is really wild and imaginative but somewhat uneven, sometimes its really good and sometimes the characters look extremely crudely drawn. the plot is nonexistant and the comic relies heavily on slapstick, swearing, booze and extreme violence coupled with silliness, but it works. its a genre piece aimed at hipsters and punk kids but i like it.

The hardest material I have ever played. I worked through the first book in college and loved it and I love this book as well. If independence and improving your time is what you’re after, look no further!

Fun and stimulating book; for anyone looking for more coordination and control on the set.

This book must be in the hands of every one who understood how to play a drum set with the first book

If independence and reading chops are your goal, which they should be at some time in your drumming training, then this is an excellent book! Like a Ted Reed Syncopation this book is open ended and you can take these exercises, which are basically playing patters with the hands and reading the melodies with the bass drum, and turn them around dozens, if not hundreds of ways. The very challenging part is singing what he refers to as the melodies while playing the patterns. Gary gives a set number of ostinatos for the right and left hand to play while reading the melodies but you can substitute ones of your own and still accomplish a lot. In all honesty this one book could challenge you for a lifetime if you apply it in different ways.

Gary Chester's The New Breed II is a wonderfully difficult follow-up to his first New Breed. He was a genius in his ability to show drummers exactly where the "weak spots" are in their playing, and most importantly how to heal those problem areas, and move on to greater creativity. His exercises are very "dense", i.e., one works on many different aspects of drumming simultaneously, thus giving a big "bang for the buck" with respect to practice time. This book is a must for any serious student of the drumkit!

From studying with the co-author Chris Adams for three years, I can honestly say this book did more for my ability to execute on the drumset than any other. It's best to study with a teacher, as you need the objectivity to get the most out of it. Using the click, singing the different limbs, and taping your sessions are the pathways to getting the most out of this. This book and method was the catalyst for the extreme coordination drumming movement currently going on today.

Johns' brilliant Brightest Day story arc comes to a good, not great, end with this volume. After all the build up and mystery over the new protector of the Earth in the previous two volumes, the story feels unfortunately a tad rushed to close here. First and foremost, numerous characters are killed before Brightest Day ends and while a few of these are re-resurrected by the end a few are cruelly left dead. What's more frustrating however is that some of the minor characters such as Maxwell Lord, Jade, and Osiris, don't end up playing into the story at all. The missions they were supposedly tasked with the by White Lantern either end up factoring into other comic books or they are simply glossed over. Even Hawk, who had been a bigger part of the story at the beginning, ends up rather ignored. While the final reveal of the protector is fun, I can't help but feel that Johns didn't have enough time (possibly due to the impending New 52 relaunch) to wrap things up as completely as he may have wanted to or had planned to.

I'll be honest...the ending is a tad disappointing. Reason being...it focused too much on setting up the next stories, and not enough on the pay off.Problem is, the 52 wiped everything clean and these next stories never continued.Also, without reading the Generation Lost series...you dont know what some of the references mean.That being said.The Brightest Day event is wonderful.And it's about the journey, not just the end.I had tons of emotional experiences reading this...it was an amazing event.I was so happy to invest in the Blackest Night-Brightest Day series of TPBs.

The third and final collected edition of Brightest Day doesn't quite fulfil the promise that was displayed within the first volume of the series as it ends with more of a whimper than a bang. Here, the stories of the recently resurrected Deadman, Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, Firestorm, Hawkman, and more besides are brought to an end as they learn why they were brought back to life, and a new protector of Earth is chosen and revealed. I don't want to give any spoilers away, other than the fact that two characters whom we haven't seen in the mainstream DC universe in a long, LONG time make major appearances here (not like it matters, what with the recent re-launch of "The New 52", but I digress) and forever set the course of the DC universe from this point forward. While the stories of Deadman and Dove (and occasionally Hawk), Aquaman, and Firestorm are interesting enough, the stories involving Martian Manhunter, and Hawkman and Hawkgirl still quite aren't. Minus an emotional gutpunch here and there, the characters are still hit and miss. Otehr resurrected characters like Captain Boomerang make brief appearances, while the rest including Professor Zoom, Jade, Maxwell Lord, and Osiris are nowhere to be found practically throughout the whole main series (but can be found in various tie-ins). All in all, Brightest Day concludes decently enough, but it doesn't have quite the pay-off that one would hope considering how great the series started.

Guys before buying this, know that Blackest Night was an event that was built up for a long time, and Brightest Day sets itself as not only a sequel, but a continuation. Saying that, there is a lot of buildup that is in this volume as well. I would not recommend this if your reading it by itself, as this is complete set up for War of the Green Lanterns that's immediately after. Saying that, this is a good volume. Story is interesting, art is great , characters rock, everything is as expected and Geoff Johns did a great job on Brightest Day.

I love Geoff Johns run on Green Lantern. I own the original issues and the hardcovers. Its awesome. He has taken GL to an awesome level. I was shocked that the movie did not tap into his genius on constructing effective and well developed Green Lantern stories. I recommend it. You may want to pick up Blackest Night and Green Lantern Blackest night before you get this. Great Great Book!!!!

After the Blackest Night event last year, I was curious and admittedly a little anxious as to how the introduction of the new Lantern Corps would mesh into the Green Lantern mythos in the long term. I purposefully waited on reading further until this hardcover collection came out, as I believe that getting the full story in one sitting is far more compelling (not to mention nicer on my wallet in the long term). Needless to say, after reading Brightest Day, my fears for the mythos as a whole have been laid to rest. Geoff Johns fabulous writing continues to be strong, and we finally get something in this book that I've been waiting for since the introduction of the seven Corps: CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT FOR THE "VILLAINS."Atrocitus and Larfleeze in particular seem alot more well-rounded as characters now than they did before the Brightest Day. Atrocitus proves that a Lantern's powers can evolve as a character does, and we see that his endless burning rage isn't quite as universal as we were led to believe. And Larfleeze proves to be more than a greedy, illiterate psychopath. It was great seeing more of the backstory for them, even if it was sometimes only hinted at.This is a wonderful addition to the series and worth every penny.

This review does not related to the great job that authors made, it is about a failed version of kindle, a technical fact not related with the gyn ob ultrasound knowledge that this book contentsI knew Callen's textbook many years ago in Spanish language, I liked this book very much since then.The evolution of ultrasound knowledge as the equipment is amazing, and this textbook has all of it. The text is so good as can be the language of ultrasound, there is just enough images, however more of them would need 2 volume, in many aspects is too a fetal medicine and gynecology book. To me a very, very good book comparable to Speroff's Endocrinology , Di Saia's Gynecologic Oncology, Gabbe's Obstetrics, Zheng's Ob Gyn, Yen and Jaffe Endocrinology, Te Linde's etc It is basic and advanced Ob Gyn ultrasound, updated, deep enough, not good for those seeking basic and rapid reviews, I believe the targeted professionals are Radiologist, Sonographer and Ob Gyn. Are You one of them? If You own this book You wont regret for sure. I've learned many things with just 20 percent read until now. Almost excellent. 4.5 Stars.
