This book was wonderful! I really enjoyed reading it-- I am troubled though because if I understand correctly the authors aren't actually native americans, they are just writing in that style?
This book is one of many that has helped shape and change my life. There are so many points that resonated within my core.I actually purchased this on audible first and feel in love with our so deeply that I felt I needed a hard copy to write in and keep handy for reference.
I was disappointed by the content of this book. While the message was generally positive, I found it watered-down and suffered a great deal from its pretend "wise old sage" tone that simply comes across as cartoonish and insulting to Native American wisdom. A much better book to read is, "The Wind is My Mother" by Bear Heart.
Every word in this book is overflowing with wisdom.This book is about forgiveness, accepting what is, and learning to be humble. Acoording to the Anasazi elders onemay choose to go forward or backward . Each path ( light, water, wind, stone, plant , animal and we) teaches its own way of bringing oneself to ones' core being which is The One Creator. Its a book to be read over and over againThe Anasazi are the elders of the Pueblo nation. From their original dwelling places and the cave wall drawings it is estimated that they lived around 1500 -300 BC.

An audio book that you will listen to multiple times. I always pick up something new each time I've listened to it.
This book provides an incredible course in healing relationships. I love it because it invites me to look deep into my heart and consider how I am doing at seeing others as people and treating them that way. It also helps me to learn life lessons from the paths of nature that are all around us. I have read it at least 20 times now and it never fails to invite me to reflect upon my life and set my life back on course as well as change my heart to peace. I would recommend this book for anyone who is willing to consult Mother Earth to learn from her years of wisdom.
Makes you think. A great book for those who want to improve the world by improving themselves.
