I use to make stained glass windows 20 something years ago, and just recently decided to take it up again and teach my 13 year old grandson how to make them. I realized I needed a little refresher, so when I found Basic Stained Glass Making: All the Skills...I was so thrilled. It was great for me, and of course, my grandson who was just starting. I don't make copper foil windows, but the step-by-step instructions for leaded glass is perfect. I ordered some new, updated supplies as well. I definitely would recommend this book!

Everything I need to know to get me started. Lists all the tools I need, detailed instructions, and great pictures.

I purchased three different books on leaded glass and I really only needed this one. This book, by far, is the most straight forward one, directed at the beginner/novice. A very visual book with easy to follow narrative. Another plus, is the typeface used for the text, which was one of a size and density to be easily read (a plus for old guys like me).

I’m happy with my purchase. The book is great for beginners. Very easy to follow with instructions and patterns to learn on. There are check lists and tips for what you need for each project in there. It teaches foil and lead came and what each tool is and how to best use them. If you’re brand new, it’s a good one to read completely through before you start your first project.

This is a great book for beginners (me!). It does not assume that you are ready to commit your life to stained glass art, and are ready to spend thousands of $ for the best equipment and workshop. It gives you the opportunity to try out this hobby. The author explains things very well, and there are tons of photos showing each step of creating a project. Several of the projects are very nice, a few aren't really my taste (tho they may be your taste...); but each one teaches new techniques.Comparing this to "Stained Glass for Dummies:" SGFD assumes a higher level of commitment, and more money. It probably isn't as good for rank beginners, but makes an excellent resource for extra information. And someday you may have that higher level of commitment. It also has many good projects, and a large section devoted to "warm glass" if you're into that.

I've been wanting to try my hand at some stained glass and bought this book to get an idea on how difficult it would be. There are some great projects in here, now to buy supplies and brush up on my measuring skills!

I haven't done any stained glass in a long time. I still have the tools and some glass and I think this book has everything I need to get started again. It is detailed with lots of pictures. I'm excited to begin!

Good overview and some nice templates (although this isn't an activity you can easily pick up by reading a book).

Anyone who is familiar with the works of A.W. Tozer is well acquainted with his unusual abstract manner of delivery. His unique perspective on the scriptures make this book a treasure. If one is looking for a complete exegetical commentary this book will disappoint. If one is looking to mine the deeper lines of thought found in John's theological perspective this book will not fit that mold. To find that the reader would be more enlightened reading "The Gospel of John" by F.F. Bruce or any Johannine Commentary by Andreas Kostenberger.This book is a collection of highlights from sermons on the Gospel of John that were delivered by Tozer at his church in Chicago. The strength of this work is to note how someone like Tozer takes the writings of John which are abstract by nature and crafts them into a message that can speak to a broad audience. Tozer has a high view of God and that view is very clear in this set of messages. It is in fact that high view of God that makes his lectures on the incarnation so unique. Tozer also has a knack for taking the most complex ideas and making them so profoundly simple that it is impossible to miss his point.One of the premier chapters is one that was delivered on John 3:16. It is so antithetical to most presentations in the evangelical community. That passage is so profound and so deep that Tozer treats it with the gravity it deserves. Also one of the messages on the fifth chapter of John really shows how deep Tozer's understanding of theology was. In fact he shows a great depth of familiarity with early christian thought but is able to break it into small and manageable chunks. Having read a lot on John's Gospel I think that this book is very refreshing and inspirational. Definitely worth the reading.

I have not read a lot of Tozer, keeping mostly to academic material. Nevertheless, this book is a wonderful series of sermons from the Gospel of John that will put you in wonder and awe. Tozer's crafts words in such a way that I have found myself constantly stopping and thinking about what has been said. This is not a difficult book, nor are the chapters long. It is a thoughtful book that you will benefit from. Don't try to copy Tozer's style, but enjoy his words as they open up corners of your mind that you just haven't noticed were so dusty.

I realize that this is a compilation of some of Tozer's work but there is something missing. I believe it is in the interpretation. This book was recommended for further study on the Gospel of John and that it does not do. It relies more on the Prologue (John 1:1-18) than on the rest of the book. I expected so much more. Some may differ.

Come on it's Tozer after all and the gospel of John. Two explosive combinations make this book a winner as it is Tozer's sermons on John as he preached them over the course of a year gleaning the best for the book. Enjoy Tozer's work at it's finest. I read this for a graduate studies level class and was thrilled to have found it.

I have just finished reading this as part of a seminary course. Tozer is well known and his passion for the gospel is apparent. I look at each chapter as a monograph on a substantive attribute of Christ and what it means to the believer. Worth the effort to read IMHO.

And He Dwelt Among Us is an excellent book that should be read by every Christian today. Our society and especially the church can learn much from the observations of Tozer. I hope and pray that many more will read his writings.

Tozer is an amazing teacher. I have always found the Gospel of John to be a difficult Gospel to understand.. I felt as though the presentation of Jesus was significantly different than the other Gospels. This book I found to be clear and conscience and to be written by a man of conscience. I recommend it to anyone struggling or anyone looking to learn more about the subject!

Tozer is one of the most quotable theological writers of all time. The beauty and simplicity with which he can convey a message speaks to all levels of education and faith. Though not a full exposition of the Gospel of John, the sections he writes on are excellent.

Wow 😮 this book was fire 🔥 I swear I can’t wait to read part 2 idk🤷🏽‍♀️ I hope Jericho or Mila wasn’t the one that 🐀 Sevyn out because if they was than it’s definitely hell to pay I can’t believe they would go against Xaviar like that knowing how he gets down... Yoooooo someone just signed they’re death certificate.

Amazing read. I have been looking for a great story all year long aside from K C Mills and Nicole Jackson I have not found any other great stories. Chase your writing skills on this one is excellent. This one keeps you in the zone throughout the book. No spoilers. I will say I love Sevyn and Xavier together. I love the bond created between the 2 of them. Yes it is some shady s**t going on and you can't help but notice what/who's direction it's coming from. I love how Xavier protects Sevyn.Anyway 1 click immediately you will not regret it.

Sevyn was trusting the wrong man Pressure was a selfish man out for himself being greedy cost him his life and his son's PJ! Sevyn was tortured by the Romanians but she was saved by Xavier. Xavier had a snake in his camp it was either mila or Jericho smh this series isn't going to end well! Hurry up part 2#0850

What a different storyline for the genre! Loved it!Some improvement needed though as it was a little hard for me to swallow that she was so horiffically raped and no medical care or testing after.Otherwise i camt wait to read part 2!

Although I believe this story is a rerelease with scenes changed around it still was a great read.. hopefully part 2 doesn’t take long... Xavier is the man... there is some typos and confusing information but it didn’t take away from the read too much...

I have so many different theories. I don’t know which one to go with. THe Romanians have got to go. I’m sorry but I’ve come to the conclusion that X is so rounded by snakes! Sevyn can’t catch a break smh! Part 2 is about to be so litt!

It was his snake ass Bestfriend that told!!!! I know it! This book was so good! I need the next installment NOW! You have never disappointed me as a writer and I can’t wait to get to the bottom of this. I like Sevyn and X is Bae!

Another great hentai manga I have read and owned. Completely uncensored and loved it. The art is really good and the girls are fantastically well drawn and extremely sexy. I loved the scenes when the females became dominant. A really big turn on this book was. The boobs were awesome!

Most of the males are unexperienced and the females are reluctant at first, but they give in to their desires. For most part, the females in each story take a dominant role in the sexual and obedient behavior of the males servicing her needs and wants. The censorship is totally unrestricted.

I liked the different stories and the fact that it wasn't censored.

In the description of amazon there is no tag of uncensored. And it seems some of the uncensored tags of amazon are definitly false. So there is a fifty-fifty change getting an uncensored book.

Disappointing. I had hoped for better instruction on basic stitches. The written piece is clear enough but the pictures provided don't line up with the written portions, often being on a different page. Also disappointing are the patterns which focus on those that look like knitting. As a knitter if i want that look, I'll knit something. The Tunisian crochet has a unique and beautiful look, and it would have been nice to have some beginner patterns that showcase that.

While I have only been crocheting for several years now, from the start I found and fell in love with Tunisian/Afghan crochet. Kim Guzman's book is one that should be at least looked at for those just starting to familiarize themselves with the style and the projects she includes are both easily understood/followed and can make for great gifts to family/friends. There are several basic stitches covered with this book, Tunisian Simple Stitch, Knit Stitch, Reverse Stitch, Extended Stitch and one or two others that are enough to keep you busy working the projects in the book as well coming up with some on your own.Instructions are easy to follow and are accompanied by pictures to allow you to see exactly what is being described. Some of the pictures however can be a bit difficult to determine just exactly what is going on due to the selection of yarn/color of yarn. Not many mind you, one or two that come to mind and if you have trouble with those in the book you can just go to her website where she has tutorials.This book is one that can lead to many hours of crocheting bliss as well some fantastic ideas for creating your own designs.

I actually started a tunisian pattern in a different book, but the instructions were not very clear. I ended up using the instructions in this book to help me on my first tunisian pattern and the instructions in this book are very clear and easy to understand.

This book has nice photos and written instruction for learning Tunisian Crochet. If when reading through the pages, you don't get something. Stitch it out and compare to photos.I found the drawings a bit confusing as the step they describe and the process don't jive in my mind. If I were to show what they intended, I would show it differently. Deciphering how someone else sees steps would require more drawings or a different one. I was able to figure it out and it is an enjoyable new technique.

I had some difficulty at first, Read, Read, Read! then you will get it. Watch the last stitch on the left side,makes thedifference of a stright edge or a disappearing one. Projects Ok for beginners.

This guide is not very good in giving specific instructions for the technique. The pictures are not clear as to what the person trying to perform the technique is supposed to do. The written instructions appear to leave out vital information to learning this skill. Again, this book falls very short of being a good descriptive guide on "how to" master the techniques shown.

Great book for beginners: you can take your time learning how to Tunisian crochet. Great pictures for visual readers.

Disappointing. I want to learn more tunisian stitches and bought this book because other reviewers said it had good pictures that showed the stitches. It does but the instructions are still hard for me to understand. I started to make the cowl but you need to ch 156 and I couldn't fit 156 stitches on my hook. Not sure how you make bigger pieces. I'll keep at it. I saw the same book at ACMoore.
